Probably I mean Wright was a fantastic player but his greatest contributions to the band were simple, repetitive melodies because they created the atmosphere so well. Same with the bass I suppose

Yep that's why they're easily my fave prog band because they cut the show offy aspect and just focused on the emotion
In saying that Genesis managed to pull off instrument wanking brilliantly on their best albums, they're second to Floyd
