There's definitely lists like that, like "Forgotten and Unknown Death Metal" -- I can't remember the others. I would just search for any band that fits that criteria but is also lesser known (Like Moribund - Oracular Eyes or something) -- and check the lists on the left side. I'd imagine you'll find something like that.
