@Wonder: S A M E

@Jeet: I mean, I agree with everything except the dig at "Risecore style cleans" tbh. But tbh you all should probably know by now from everything I've said that I'm a sucker for the types of metalcore cleans everyone digs at and calls whiny. Some exceptions, sure (it took a damn long time for Aaron Gillespie to win me over, and even when I was damn near a 5/5 on DTGL and LITSOS that was always a complaint I had) but they're not the rule.

Beau Bokan's cleans are probably another exception, but that might just be Hard Feelings wearing off on me, lol.

@Groundking: yeah that's what the general consensus seems to be here, but I can't get down with that statement. Like I said, they're one of the few that want to keep the more melodious 2nd wave sound going, so they automatically get props for the attempt in my book. Hell, the fact that my lowest rating for the band is still at least a 3 should say something...other than "Agent has shit taste."

Atlas rules [2]

What do you guys think their next album will sound like? Return to their roots or stray even further?

@Groundking: I never said I didn't, lol.

@swipenet: I want to see them go even further and try to make this new style work better.

They'll give us more accessible watered down trash. They hit us with a 3peat with 3 shitty albums in a row. That alone spells doom. And if they did try to return to their roots who knows if it'll actually sound good or if it'll just be a watered down version of their older shit.

Atlas has my favorite song of theirs and the last two have been alright, so I can see them taking Reverence and refining it more.

I think they'll stray further from metalcore again for the next one. I mean, you don't make the same music you did at 22 when you're now in your mid 30's.
