Messe is my third favourite. I've got a lot of love for Wars of the Roses as well which I find to be quite underrated around here.

Messe is definitely top 5 for me and War of the Roses is great. I like September IV through Stone Angels on that record.

Blood Inside has always been a challenge for me. It's so dense and overwhelming in places.

bergtatt > nattens > marriage > the rest

but when it comes to post-marriage stuff then i guess it's pc = this > messe > wars

Still need to devote more time to Marriage. Definitely prefer it to their black metal stuff but still haven't got into it anywhere near as much as my favourite Ulver albums.

crazy how much this band has to offer, and how many different people can dig some or even all of their stuff

Agreed, Cygnatti. Speaks well for the band I think. They've explored so many styles that their discography has a little something for fans of all sorts of "dark" music.

Yeah this band is brilliant. The only album I've heard of theirs that I didn't care for was Childhood's End.

Still haven't heard that one. That's the covers album. You wouldn't recommend it?

No it's pretty boring and unmemorable IMO. I'm often not big on covers or cover albums, though.

I've said this before a few pages back, but try out playing the winter section of The Last Of Us while this is playing. The two things are as if they're made for each other it's perfect.
