tbh no, this has aged worse than the earlier stuff that sounds even more dated

go Beggars for their altrawk, but their posthxc stuff is the real deal

yes, I feel like this is definitely the wrong place

I'm going backwards, right... ? That's not a real question, of course I am.

listen to this, then all Alchemies, then Major/Minor, then Beggars. Then finally Artist.

I checked the album before this and actually may have gone the wrong way, a revelation of shocking magnitude in all honesty...

alt-rock = better?

Curious

Johnny you have this rated very highly, so what are you saying here? Lol

I didn't say either album was particularly good, by the way.

I do prefer alt-rock thrice, but Artist is a gem as far as screamo records go.

'Artist' as in the previous album? I may have been half-asleep at the time (?) but I hear no screamo on that one.

Melodic hardcore / post-hardcore, sure.

This is alt rock / post-hardcore, guessing from what's been said that they veer much more towards the alt-rock side after this one (which is probably not gonna be my thing)... but the dude does have some decent pipes on him, which will presumably come in handy there. If anything it's the more high octane 'belted' cleans which leave me leaning for the off button, the screams are perfectly palatable albeit a little underwhelming.

unfortunately this issue is also present on 'Artist'.

woah, that's a nice looking list... starts strongly but I don't know a lot of the later ones. Cheers!

now to try and remember where it's located (I guess it's easy enough if you can remember some of the artists)...

Jerome's Dream are cool, maybe I'll remember that one (right, that works, it's the 3rd list down via the artist page)
