Your grandma has an alright voice then. Is she a middle aged white man?

yeah i dont really see why his voice is a bad thing. His clean singing is fine, bob dylan is worse in that regard. When he screams it can be pretty grating initially.

it's not terrible, but that sorta indie-falsetto stuff just isn't my thing. Adam Lazzara >>>> Jesse Lacey imho

i agree with that as far as the range of each singer goes. Adam carries a melody better. jessy loses a melody once he goes out of his clean range in most cases, or at least barely holds on to it.

Yeah, plus the "whiny" (as much as I HATE using that word to describe a singer I like because it's basically self-incrimination) emo tone >>>> Jesse's more indie-esque falsetto tone imho

i wish both artists had done a solo acoustic record.

personally i prefer jessy's clean singing over adam's. Though the closer of tbs's last album has adam's best clean performance imo, which i really really love.

Yeah I'd definitely prefer Tell All Your Friends cleans over anything Jesse has ever done, but that's just me. I'm the same dude who put Craig from ETF at #2 on my favorite singers list. Let's just say I'm a very particular person when it comes to singers.

The weirdest thing about that is how despite my gravitation towards more "whiny" timbre, I haven't always had the easiest time with Aaron Gillespie's vocals. It almost feels like Gillespie has a tendency to overdo it, especially with live performances where he sounds like he's constantly on the verge of a breakdown.

he can be pretty grating. as far as clean singer choices, they could have done way better.

Yeah, I'm in the minority opinion that Spencer Chamberlain has a better tone.

I'm sorry but I cannot relate to a man who has sex with underage girls. Wonder if that bitch is gonna survive prison now.

At this point I've kind of just tried to ignore Lacey's lyricism and enjoy everything behind him.

His voice is definitely not harming my enjoyment of this record, it’s still heavenly.

His lyrics are phenomenal.

I think Lacey's vocals and lyrics are by far the best thing about this band and are probably the main reasons they had so much success.
