Sure. But Death is a whole package, it's not only about vocals. Chuck himself didn't like being the vocalist ^^ that's why he made control denied. But you can't deny the musical genius in Death compositions, really...

I really love Death, especially Symbolic which is one of my favorite albums all time.

Na I never checked Control Denied so I can't speak much about them. Also to be fair I haven't checked Death's earlier stuff so I could love those.

You should try Control Denied if what you dislike about Death is mostly the vocals 
I like Chuck's better myself but they're very different ^^

It ain't Chuck's vocals in particular, It's the whole package. They all have ideas or performances which I enjoy but I don't fall head over heels over. Such as the vocal performance, the transition riffs they use for choruses, the production choices etc

Death rule hard but honestly I don't care for most of their vocals. They're good on Human and TSOP but otherwise meh

On TSOP they're so cool and vicious, puts proper emphasis on parts which needs to be emphasised which makes for some incredible vocal melodies.

Chuck was an absolute innovator, a craftsman of music itself. Metal and its subgeneres would be nowhere near where they are without him.

There's nothing wrong with them, in fact they're consistently good or better. It's just that that they're nothing remarkable when you have other vocalists in Metal which sound in my eyes more vicious/more enjoyable to listen to. I get that it's not the point of Symbolic and ITP to be as guttural or vicious as possible but there's still vocalists I prefer more. Plus they're pretty one dimensional, which despite not being a bad thing per se I see clean/duel vocalists in Metal in where variety is the spice of life.

By encompassing so much within the death metal realm,surely there is something to like in Death for all extreme metal fans. I personally dont like the prog sound they shifted to in Symbolic, but Human and ITP are among my favorites DM records ever.
