It’s a great collection of songs, but doesn’t really work very well as a whole, cohesive album. Disjointed is definitely the right word. Still great shit though.

Cherry Waves is top 5 Deftones for me, maybe even top 3. Just a beautiful, otherworldly song.

all i’ve wanted was an album further in this direction. KNY is good but not as good as this, Gore is absolutely the worst deftones album ever and it’s not even close, both are ~spacy~ like this, but i feel Nothing

deftones’ ballads are always my favorite tbh like cherry waves, beauty school, sex tape all are top tier for them. even that song Your Skull Is Red by team sleep SPECIFICALLY the live recording at Woodstock is like one of the best deftones songs that’s not technically by deftones. i want an album of Cherry Waves

also bloc’s comment saying “lots of flawless songs on this, some shit ones too” absolutely sums up this whole album for me lol favorite deftones sound by far but def some misses

Oh man, I LOOOOVE The Woodstock Sessions. The rendition of Your Skull is Red is fucking amazing — Chino’s screams on there are among his best, and I honestly think it’s one of his best live performances. He was on point for that shit man.

I find Mein a little bit boring. I will always love Combat, nice song structure with surprisingly only 2 choruses, I'm just not a big fan of the first minute, it takes a lot of time to get started.

I thought Rats!Rats!Rats! was incredibly obnoxious. Really the only track on this album I didnt like. But besides that SNW is probably my favorite Deftones album right next to Around the Fur. Beware is such a banger.
