I do have to say I think it’s pretty overrated and is maybe more like a 3.8 for me. The good songs tho holy fuck they’re amazing. I enjoy Never for Ever a lot more than this, but they’re pretty different albums

i understand why people prefer it but i think this is just so much better in basically every way (but they are also very different)

I think that’s totally fair. Hounds is a 4.5-5 for me but I’m probably overrating it, it’s kind of all over the place sonically, and the first half is noticeably weaker barring Running Up That Hill and Cloudbusting. This is a way more cohesive album front to back for sure. Hounds has some of my favourite songs ever though.

I’m doing a discog run of hers again rn so I’m curious to see if I still enjoy Hounds as much.
