for me thrash is early US speed metal that has a huge punk influence, early examples being kill 'em all and in the sign of evil, and the archetypal thrash album being bonded by blood
RIP is an incredible album but it has no punk elements, so i feel weird calling it thrash, even if megadeth is usually considered thrash. just a really fucking impressive late US speed metal album

but rly this is obv thrash as megadeth are a thrash band and this is their best thrash album form their hard thrash period prob their last thrash album til like endgame or justice would prob say its their last thrash album even though he doesnt dig anything past killing is my business but he still is in the know so in conclusion this is a thrash record

Lol but really this IS thrash. It'd be like saying Human isn't death metal, or that Epicus Doomicus isn't doom metal. They're albums that represent their respective genres, and this is just as much a thrash album as Peace Sells.
