"It's pretty clearly DE 2.0 lite"
Not really, they don't have much in common when it comes to atmosphere, aesthetics or just overall sound. You can argue they both boast kind of the same glossy production that borders on being over-produced but they have a different overall sound, at least to my ears.
They are still more similiar to each other than either of them compared to any album from their pre-SNW days but I'd say they're still distinct.

Pretty sure I've said before I could swap certain songs from this and DE and someone who'd never heard either wouldn't think twice if I said they were the same album.

That's not a criticism as I like both very, very much, but while distinct they are sister albums in my opinion.
