Their name reminded me of Swans right away, and whaddaya know, as far as dreampop goes this is something like what would happen if Cocteau Twins listened to too much early Swans. Coincidence??? Not a totally consistent album, but a million times better than that other better known shoedreamturd album with "love" in the title. And yeah, the singing's kinda childish, but that's fine: I don't think every female vocalist needs to devote herself to affirming the independence of the womynkind or whatever.
