I mean, in what sense? In a technological sense yea cause they have storylines about people first switching over to burner cells and such but in a quality sense no, it hasn't aged a day. Still my second favorite show ever and I only watched it for the first time last year so I'm not judging it with nostalgia points.

Ghost, when my boss levied that critique about The Wire, I didn't get it. He said it was slow and dated and did cite technology which I thought was dumb. He didn't go into much detail.

Jeetx2, if they are going to make True Detective 3, I hope they​ took a step back and looked at what made season to such a collosal failure. I'm not even excited for a new season. S1 could have stood alone as one of the best mini-series of all time. And while it was tainted, every season afterward is more so as a result of it's greatness.

Really the same could be said about Fargo season 3, but there were still some strong elements in their second season. A return to form would be ideal though.

Man S2 of Fargo was one of the best seasons of anything I've ever watched. I've got complete faith that S3 will be greatness. S3 of TD could be awesome too if it doesn't get as convoluted as S2. I will say that while TD S2 had many flaws, Colin Farrell fuckin KILLED his role. Plus seeing him call that kid Ass-pen was so funny

Idk I definitely appreciate GOT more but the fact that it became more popular than The Sopranos?

idk it might honestly be more overrated than Breaking Bad, especially since Breaking Bad ended at it's high point and GOT just fucking keeps going it's like i heard about GOT every fucking day

Like I can look at GOT and appreciate it more than Breaking Bad, but as a whole I'm really tired of hearing about both, GOT is just more relevant right now I guess.

Plus I can really respect that Breaking Bad is one of the only TV shows that got better and better each season. Season 4/5 were almost perfect. Still nowhere near Sopranos or Wire but eh

I thought the wire was good but often pretty tedious because of its realism. Breaking bad last seasons were fantastic but the finale was a bit underwhelming. GOT is probably my favorite if only for the sheer scope and level of intricacy and detail they've built within the world but it's almost incomparable to BB really.

yeah even if GOT goes to complete shit in its last two seasons plot-wise, I'll still watch and adore it for the world design alone. it's a fucking gorgeous show. I really can't fault it at all, they took on such a gargantuan task and they're knocking it out of the park 90% of the time.



shows like breaking bad are less impressively technically (even though BB is a gorgeous show in its own right) but when it comes to scripting, they took us to town week after week. just a brilliant written show. I might watch The Wire after I'm done with Better Call Saul and Orange is the New Black

Yeah incidentally I love how to series now enjoy almost film level production quality . Westworld is another class show and I can't fucking wait for season 2 as long as they don't jump the shark and keep it intelligent and unpredictable
