I don't think there's anything more pleasant to hear than Wright's Fender Rhodes sound in the intro to Sheep

His closing moments on Shine On were beautiful yeah but he was still super underused (he was only credited with writing a couple sections of Shine On)

This album has tonnes of feels, it's a massive fuck you to the conservative party that totally wrecked Britain. And it's funny, cos the same thing is happening again.

i hate to say it back bringing wrights sound down a bit on here gives it more of a pure rock feel and it sounds great

yeah at that point neither he nor gilmour have any pure musical influence whatsoever and the bands sound falls apart falls flat and turns into some pf-influenced arena rock opera

dogs was mostly put together before wywh was even released, have to believe dave and rick were still working together relatively well on the sound at that point

Wright's contributions to the Floyd sound were brilliant, I wish he was used a lot more. He also had a wonderful voice.

The demo live version of Dogs is still fairly light on Wright's influence I guess it just started that early, or maybe at that point he still had input and just thought it was a sound benefitting a harder rock sort of thing, either way

his voice was gorgeous agreed

great voice and great sound, not the most technically proficient keyboardist ever but insanely creative and innovative in terms of sound

i bet he would have made a pretty good jazz pianist had he gone the way

was reading lately how useless he had become on account of his cocaine habit around the time of the wall and it kind of changed my opinion on waters just being a complete massive asshole, slightly

Definitely not the most proficient but possibly the best atmospherically imo. And yeah Sisyphus proves he still had the chops fer sure

that's definitely a factor but Waters still gets asshole points for pushing him away instead of keeping him in the loop, as well as the way he treated Gilmour
