Thats what I'm worried about. While I dig gazy stuff every now and then, Alcest's latest album was boring as shit. Really hope these guys dont shoot themselves in the foot like that

Playing this record at a slower speed is actually a pretty trippy experience as well.

weirdest thing I ever did with my old record player was play an Om record cut for 45 RPM at 33 1/2 RPM. Was weird as shit

But yeah bet this sounds trippy as hell at half speed

Yeah, playing a 45 Godflesh record at 33 is pretty evil as well.

Tried it a few times. It sounds like wicked sludge metal.

there was a 25% slower vinyl recording version of this on youtube linked a few pages back. It almost sounded like Addaura.

I mean instrumentally maybe, but I'd hate to hear george try to sing and fail (It worked for Lantlos though, so who knows), so at if we got dfhvn's Shelter at least there'd still be screamo vox to it. People would have infinitely more Envy comparisons to make then, heh.

Their best bet at this point would be to shoot for a darker sound imo, or maybe start incorporating elements of different genres

I dig gazy shit though, so I wouldn't bitch if they went that route and did it well

add some hazy punk sections, reduce the post-rock, and up the black metal just to mess with the "they're screamo not metal blah blah" crowd even further.
