This album, and in particular the song Perennial Quest, has always sounded very "confused" to me. Like the riffs would be asking a question. I wonder what is the music theory behind this, because i have heard about this somewhere already. The intro to Empty Words is a perfect example, it sounds very twisted. I have no clue about song structure and what part is called what, but the riff in Perennial Quest after Chuck screams: "Other times, knowing too much", and also in Misanthrope after he screams "and from above" i think, are also examples of this. It is super sick.
