Always feel like coming back to this rather than TPAB.

Still love that album, though.

It's a much more relaxing listen, that's for sure. If I put on TPAB, I feel like I have to listen to the whole thing to get the full experience.

swimming pools is good but not a highlight. sing about me, art of peer pressure, sherane, and poetic justice are my faves

Yeah it's a fun track but Peer Pressure and BDKMV have always been my faves here.

GKMC > DAMN = TPAB >> UU

for me, personally, in terms to sheer listenability (i.e., how often i find myself wanting to relisten to them). I have the first three all at 4.0, though, so the differences are minimal.

Saying the tracklist doesn’t matter on an album is like saying the album art doesn’t matter. Once you get into the music sure, but ur not even gonna try out an album that looks ugly or too long on first impression.

Just look at the people bemoaning chance’s new album for being 22 songs, it’s a thing.

It’s silly and arbitrary, but it’s still important for an artist to consider. You want ur album to look clean.

I dont give a fuck if there's 100 tracks on an album whatever it takes to be convenient. I love long albums and again it changes nothing about the music. Anyone who doesn't check an album for those reasons is ridiculous tbh

The track list is way different than the cover. The cover isn't totally important as well, but it's something to connect with and add meaning to an album. Idk about you but I dont connect with words in a list

Also people complain about the chance album being bad not that it's 22 tracks. If it were 12 long tracks there would be the same complaint

Sometimes records overstay their welcome. I don't think artists always make the correct choices for this kind of thing. Which songs, how many, which order, etc. It's all important to the experience. Though, I don't know how much of this stuff is in their control, and how much of it is the decision of the label their on.
