Listened to this last night and I have to say, aside from a few production issues, it is a definite classic.

Can anyone point to something that sounds like this minus the screamo vocal style, or vocals entirely? Instrumentally this is insanely appealing but I have never been able to stand this particular vocal style at all.

Ehhh, maybe I just don’t love COTM as much but I wouldnt go that far. I think that the heavier bits are better here for the most part, this thing riffs like a motherfucker in a way that State Faults hasn’t for the past couple of records, but I think as a whole COTM has more variety, for sure a better vocal performance, not a knock against this but his vocals are pretty one note, but thats leveled out by good lyricism… COTM doesn’t hit me as hard lyrically.

Tenue is great but it’s not close to this or State Faults imo, these two are head and shoulders above every other screamo record I’ve heard this year.
Coincidentally both Deathwish bands, they’ve had a pretty good year

Tenue is so much more unpredictable and fun to me than COTM, and I’m not hating on that album, I enjoy it greatly as well. Just can’t wrap my mind around calling it a skramz GOAT with the last 25 years of incredible skramz albums just chillin right there
