you are spot on jeff bro....i think most of the user base is a bit too young to realize the impact that this record had when it was released.....best comeback album, maybe ever for me.....the tour was awe!.....most importantly, MAIDEN was back!
i didn't even know this cd was being made until i saw the massive display in Tower Records with the bright yellow sticker on the front saying 'THE RETURN OF BRUCE DICKINSON AND ADRIAN SMITH', or something like that......played it when i got home and was blooooooown away

Haha, you're absolutely right dude! I was blown away when I first heard about it and finally bought the album and got to sit down and listen to it. Than bought expensive ass tickets for the tour man it was totally worth it. These guys were on fucking fire! One of the best shows ive ever seen. Defenitily one of the best comebacks I remember seeing

Their live performance on that tour is what made me finally start listening more closely to their music. Up until then I was a Metallica fan and because of that I rejected everything Maiden.

was that because they rivaled each other from your neck of the woods manosg bro? for us, it was either priest or maiden....heated arguments man lol.....but i swung for both, but still think Maiden is the best heavy metal band ever

I could never understand the comparison between Iron Maiden and Metallica. They are not the same genre of metal. But even if we were to to compare, Iron Maiden win by a mile.

"for us, it was either priest or maiden....heated arguments man lol....."
This is a much more logical debate hahaha. The Maiden vs Metallica thing was based on which was the greatest heavy metal band of all time, which was going on in Greece during the '90s. I dunno if that was the case in the US, but Sabbath weren't nearly as respected back then as they are today, so they weren't even in the conversation for GOAT.

Metallica has always been the kings in the states, regardless of my opinion lol

Growing up Sabbath and Zepplein were the ultimate bands for me. Than I started to get into Maiden & Metallica when I was a teenager in the late 80's early 90's. When someone says greatest Metal bands I include all of em' haha but Sabbath is the Grandaddy of all Metal and always deserve the nod. I love all those bands I don't know if could choose just one y'know it's tough
