I saw them years ago and they upstaged Opeth opening for them iny opinion, it was the Heritage era though so really boring setlist. I thought Katatonia sounded pretty great though.

I saw that tour, Opeth played a terrible set. Katatonia was pretty boring too though until they closed with Leaders. I saw Opeth probably 10 other times before that though and there’s no way Katatonia could have compared with the pre-Heritage Opeth shows

I completely agree with you other than I thought Katatonia sounded really good haha. Opeth is normally amazing and I did see them at Red Rock Amphitheater and it was masterful.

not really their biggest fan to begin with but they have a couple of great tunes under their belt. need an album of songs like laquer to win me over which they'll never make
