well they actually sent you 12 cds and you were supposed to send them a check for s&h once they arrived then you bought 2 cds as part of the agreement.

if memory serves, Columbia House was 12 CDs for a penny, then you had to buy like 15 albums at like $20 a piece plus shipping.
BMG was like 8 CDs for $10, then they sent you a CD of the month automatically unless you cancelled it.

right. bmg sent you 12 cds up front and you were supposed to pay them for the s&h after you received them. needless to say i never did so i never got signed up for the cd of the month thing. i actually did it several times with different names so i got like 36 cds for free.
