ynya is arguably their best, it's tied with nltl

the only thing that holds it back is thinner production

Hawks' ratings for this band always amused me, it's either a 4.5 or a 2 lol

hope they write more songs like the t/t in the future. really crept up over the years as one of my favorites of theirs, maybe my biggest highlight behind the closer

Band have done no wrong but some albums are considerably stronger than others.

Flesh to Fill Your Wounds might be my favorite Counterparts song period

I guess I should give these guys another shot. I loved that EP they just put out. I don’t really remember a ton of these guys album’s vibes. What’s closest to the EP? Probably this right?

I'd say this yeah or NLTL but all their other stuff is way more melodic than the EP.

Though each album (besides this one interestingly enough) has a balls to the wall heavy song i.e. Slave, Choke, Thieves, Your Own Knife

Maybe I’ll do a little discog run tonight at work. I work mostly alone Saturdays so that’s when I get full control over the speaker😈

Usually gotta try to keep it PG but Saturdays are for the heavy shit

part of me kinda feels like this is less like the newer ep than stuff like ynya and nltl. this leans more into the melody than anything else in their discog

Yeah aside from maybe Current I think this is the least like the EP, the emphasis on melody is huge here, both instrumentally and with the inclusion of singing.

Yeah def gonna have to give this band another shot. I always really tried to get into them but I get the feeling it’s gonna be a slow night so maybe it’ll click this time

my elderly cat passed away right when this came out and it's still one of the most cathartic metalcore albums for me. still get chills with almost every song. RIP little buddy
