I’m seeing some really good early reviews. At this point I’m actually starting to think we have a good Muse album about to land.
I only listened to the first two singles and can’t even remember them at this point, but do remember liking them to some degree based on only one or two listens.
I’ve barely listened to this album so listening would almost be like listening for the first time. Problem is, I remember it being very forgettable.

4 out of 5 songs for me have been either really good or at least pretty decent. Shaping up to be what could be the best Muse album since BH&R.

Yeah goddamn some more very positive reviews rolling in.
I thought Simulation Theory had its moments but the last Muse album I really liked a lot was Drones. I seem to like it more than most though. Might be my fourth favorite after Symmetry-Absolution-Black Holes in fact.

Drones is a very underrated album lol, there's a couple of duds, but also some of their best post-Black Holes songs

1 min into the first song and it’s already the most inspired muse has sounded in 20 years

it's a solid album for sure. it's good for the sake of being good and not so schlocky bad it's "fun" good

People like the new album but Idk if it would be my thing. At their absolute peak, this is a 3.5/5 band (Absolution/Black Holes), but at their lowest... man it gets rough.

agreed faraudo, drones has some tunes. dead inside goes hard. kind of excited to check the new one.

I was a Muse fan from close to the beginning in 1999 and Muscle Museum. Loved the first 3 albums, 4 of the 5 singles from BH&R (but not the rest of the album) and The Resistance (unpopular opinion I know), but nothing since aside from a song here or there.
But the new one is pretty good I think. Or maybe I've drunk too much...

I've got a very soft spot for them in all fairness, but yeah

So it's not the alcohol? I will still like it as much when I'm sober? The Sickness in You & I is, well... sick. And some of the transitions between tracks are inspired.
Did not expect to like Hush so much... How is this good?

Man I think symmetry and absolution are solid 4.5s. The 2nd Law is prob their worst album, a 2 maybe. I do really like one song off it but can’t remember which one.
