This has still been getting plenty of spins from me. I actually find this more ambitious and better composed than Alphaville, as much as I like that album. I still think it’s incredible that they found a way to incorporate Kenny G in a way that wasn’t gimmicky and genuinely contributed to their sound, which probably speaks to why I find them so much better than the other bands they’re lumped in with. Perfect palette cleanser for that awful DsO record.

Check out the drummer, Kenny, on all of John Zorn’s Simulacrum and Chaos Magick ensembles (among others). Didn’t realize how much content Kenny’s been involved with for Zorn over past decade. Absolutely spectacular drumming.

Having to sit through this band to watch Immolation was one of the toughest things I've ever had to do. Crowd reaction was not good at all either. They may as well have been playing to the terracotta warriors. Yeesh.
