I wasn't going to listen to the new Cure but considering how obsessed I was with this album now I'm intrigued, I'm only familiar with their more popular stuff but not a band I've listened to much

I'm gonna be honest, I find this kind of unbearable. Dallas' musical interests just do not mesh well with the others at this point. It's nice that they're still playing together and making music, but these songs just don't work.

I mean, this is basically just a heavy City and Colour album with occasional screams
I guess I just don't really see the point

i wish city and colour had nearly as much alice in chains and sabbath influence as this does

Listening to this genuinely felt like reconnecting with an old friend and I've never gotten that from another band before and that alone might make it a 5 in time

Second half of Survivors Guilt is boner fuel

Dallas is pretty significantly my least favourite member of AOF and I still blame him for breaking them up to pursue his shitty starbucks music.
based on the comments on this page it sounds like I might not love this

I will say that the vocal interplay between dallas and george is probably my favourite thing about this band, but still
Dallas used to be cool but i do not fuck with him anymore

This still isn't really my thing since I'm not too into stoner rock but I listened to this again today with a different mindset than the first time I spun it and I get the vision. It doesn't have most of what I've loved about this band in the past but Sans Soleil is a gorgeous song.
