Lifes been kinda weird for me lately, and this album seemed to come at a perfect time. Love the feel of it, and i feel spoiled for getting so many new songs to listen to death.

A cool mixture of new/old, this is a very solid mastodon album. Who would expect any less

Feel like buying this on vinyl - hesitant as I have CtS on vinyl and it doesn't sound great. Anyone have this one on vinyl?

What a beast of an album… It took me various spins for it to unfold as the gem it truly is

I didn't have the gumption to read all 28 pages; I don't have a problem with the production here per se, but it does feel like at random times it gets louder or softer. Is that just me?

So far album is excellent though. Finally getting around to this

Edit: for example teardrinker is loud af and then its significantly lower volume when Pushing the Tides hits

I’ve read lots of negative comments regarding the production. I’m having no trouble with it, it has an organic feeling that really works for me.

“ whats the heaviest/sludgiest track here”

I’d say Peace and Tranquility, More Than I Could Chew and Pushing the Tides

After reading most of the pages on this thread I would say this statement is the one that best summarizes this record:

“this album consists of 15 jaguar gods” so damn right Flug…

I figured it out. I'm listening on Apple Music and some tracks are Lossless and some are Dolby Atmos. The lossless ones are louder volume and more dense and that's the discrepancy.

Annoying but glad to know its not the album itself. Hope AM fixes it or Mastodon re-uploads it where its cohesive
