Jesus Lord is like when the pastor says “and if there’s anyone in the congregation who wants to give their lives to god please step forward” and then everyone just sits awkwardly while the worship band keeps vamping the same melody ad infinitum

i'm the resident 00's hip hop guy, and I still bump the bangers from that era occasionally, but Graduation was def the peak of that era...like literally the peak because after it came out the genre took a huge dip and it wasn't until like 2012 with chief keef (and kanye himself ironically) that it came back up

also funnily enough 808's was one of the few shining lights in that 07-12 period, and it's still one of my favourites, and it's incredibly influential
