I'm surprised that this is as popular as it is. It's not a bad album at all, but particularly with the stigma that they had when they first formed, I imagined that more people would go in with a prejudice against them, although it's good to see that that isn't the case.

yeh well said doom21. i think this a great album, and a terrific band. myles' voice is just incredible, and i'm in love with tremonti's guitar playing. Alter Bridge are my second favourite band (behind metallica ofcourse). tho i want them to hurry up and record a new album.

i liked creed and i got this today....pretty good, but a lot of really slow songs ...should have more stuff like "Find the real", "metalingus", and "watch your words".....and why doesnt anyone like open your eyes and broken wings? i think (besides the actual lyrical content) theyr awesum songs

Good review, I love this album, Metalingus and Down To My Last are my favourite songs on the album, I'm off to see these guys in June.

i was reading your posts on the Alter Bridge album, that is also a really good review to help other users try to rate the album to their own liking and not get flamed for it. personally i will give it a 4 (i think about it now), only because the singer sounds too much like creed when he sings at a normal rate.This Message Edited On 04.29.06

and you can tell me over 50% of creeds songs werent slow. i think that creed had some really good songs, but they were slow to me and they rarely had any solos. Listen to the second song on this cd and tell me you think that is a slow song. I do like both of those songs you mentioned though. (open your eyes and broken wings)

now that i think about it you are probably right about that.

I think alter bridge is a good band.. but I think that Mark Tremonti is on a league of his own here.. I seriously believe that these other guys are pulling him back..
I also think that Tremonti's guitar style doesn't compliment the style that both his bands (creed and alter bridge).. Well actually they do, but not in an optimum manner.. I wish that he were in a METAL band instead, that would give him a lot more opportunities to show off his skills.. Or if not, maybe fo solo (i.e. vai, petrucci), i bet he can pull it off.. after all he's a great guitarist..

Now a days, Mark doesn't exacty have a lot to choose from. He would have fit in 20 years ago, but now he's one of the best in his generation.

I love all the songs on this album except for Burnitdown. This is a good example of bringing rock out of the grave, and I look foreward to a nother album by these guys.

alter bridge has to be my favorite band. tremonti is my favorite guitarist ever. amazing is an understatement. my only question is that i was wondering if anyone knows if a new cd is going to come out anytime soon. something that sucks is that the cd didn't do so well on sales. i hope that alter bridge sells 20 times as many records as creed did.
