Man I wish the production were better on this one, not a bad album but really dragged down but how muddy and diluted everything sounds

Not a huge gojira fan but the Olympics thing was pretty badass. Mad respect for the drummer though

My facebook was a sea of Conservative outrage over the Olympic segment and I couldn't have had a bigger smile on my face.

Seeing them at the opening ceremony required a double take. They looked badass in that fuckin castle spire
|
| |
They seem like legit 10/10 good dudes so nothing but happy for them, all the success.

Yeah one of the few bands with near-universal approval from metal fans I think

Having one of the best drummers on earth doesnβt hurt.

I always like the beginning of Born For One Thing, but then midway through the song the impact is just lost somehow. Then it takes off again. It's probably the prodiction. Why are the vocals so quiet?

yeah, no idea, hopefully they actually get a producer next time and don't produce it themselves. this lost a ton of punch it could've had because of the shitty prod

ooooh this is a BIG one, EX-PER-AHH-MEN-TING. Got that?? Need me to fuck#&g slow down??? Yes, for the first time in their career, Gorija have started to think outside of the box by crafting truly unique compositions. I'm sorry it's not the simple humdrum b*llshit you're used to from The Link and Terra Incognita...if your feeble brain can't comprehend truly experimental composition mastery then maybe you should stick with those?? The rest of us, true Gojira fans who are intelligent enough to appreciate TRUE artistry, will laugh at you while we gorge on the creative virtuousity served to us aplenty in FORTITUDE, the most DARING and EXPRESSIVE music Godgera have ever mustered. I'm laughing right now, thinking of all those "Toxic Garbage Island" stans trying to even find the frets on their ukuleles to play something like "The Chant". Imbeciles πππ but I guess that's why we have groups like this, right? Separate the fakers from the real fans?
