hmmm like three weeks removed the new single has grown on me a decent amount

it being the opening track of the new album kinda worries me though

I really like the backstory of the riffs from Nobody’s being from a writing/jam session Jeremy did with Geoff Rickly back in 2009

I was hyped beforehand but yeah weak track. Weak lead singles have put me off pre ordering this and that Better Lovers LP, both were albums I was really psyched for

I’m sure I’ll like both but moneys tight and I’d rather not order some LP that might end up being mid

That is how I feel about Manchester and Foxings most recent LPs that I pre-ordered. I ended up liking them both a fair amount, but neither are anywhere near my favorites from them.

In both those cases though, the singles were incredible and tricked me.

I immediately ordered the foxing LP before I even heard the song. I fucking love those guys lol

I guess I can be tricked then haha

But yeah the Foxing record is for sure my most anticipated record atm and given how much I love Greyhound I wouldn’t be shocked if it ended up being my aoty

Yep much better track. I don’t think it’ll quite reach this, and definitely not touching stage four, but that was quality. I really like the tempo switchups

yeah new one is def better but also agree with the production critiques. feels thin. also think the vocals are mixed kinda weird they feel almost disconnected from the rest of the band at points

gonna wait for the album to make any sort of judgement... think touche's sorta abbreviated writing style makes them suffer much more than the average band when songs are judged in isolation. its all about momentum with these guys

1st single sucked, I liked the 2nd one though. Cautiously optimistic that it’ll be as good as this but nowhere near their peak
