2020's finest metal offering. I'm quite a big Paradise Lost fan and Obsidian has quite a lot of competition in my eyes, but this could well be their second best release, behind Draconian Times.
If I ever get back into playing the guitar, I'm going to buy an effects pedal to make it wail like Gregor's (or at least massacre his signature sound).

I need to give it another listen, but Medusa is definitely in the lower reaches if I ordered all PL albums by preference, didn't really get it much either.

Medusa is a "less is more" approach that kinda worked for them. Greg's leads and solos are some of his best imo.
