The worst thing about Tilian era is its a bit inconsistent but his era also encompasses over half the bands life. Kurt got a good thing with allb. Royal Coda is dece. If Jonny never fell into drugs I think he'd have been the worst to stick around with the band if slaves and emarosa are anything to go by. He also sounds worst in those bands. (post relativity, that one's dece)

"Do you ever get tired of having bad takes" no, Empire Theory is just that good. I want that sound back from him.

As for Jonny he sounds at his worst in DGD

"Sorry about the double comment but why the fuck does sputnik tell me that it's May 7th when it is so clearly not May 7th yet or am I just losing it"

Sputnik exists solely in the MX timezone.

Just went back and listened to Mothership. Holy shit that album puts his arms behind its back and slaps this one with his giant ballsack.

I even love Jon Mess on that record.

I mean, the first 8 songs are straight-up bangers for me. Very few records manage to chain 8 songs I completely enjoy in a row...

Just don't go out there thinking it's a break-up album lmao

Maybe I will end up appreciating it more if I approach it from a different angle

Been listening to the instrumental versions of the albums, tbh they are kind of an 'easier' listen of the albums than the ones with vocals. Some reasons: no having to tolerate Tilians vocals which is sometimes nice, sometimes Mess vocals can be overly obnoxious, no Swan rapping which is always a plus

instrumental versions seem like they'd be a lot easier to handle yea
