I like this single more than the first one - and I sorta dig the album title. They're seemingly going for a much more organic/raw approach compared to the previous two LPs. Less layered and dense guitars, more extremely present and honest vocals (the harmonies and backing vocals in this new track are extremely distinct and discrete, while the approach in the last two LPs was a much more lush "wall of vocals" harmony approach. Same with some of the guitar layer-building), some more brutish and less polished drum sounds. Hopefully it is a wrinkle that sounds good on the whole record. Cheers!

What??? Can’t even begin to understand or agree. They sound so energized compared to this album

it’s not so much the energy it’s just the songwriting and especially the lyrics. i do like the vocals

Between this album and the new singles, i think its safe to say that their best days are over, at least for me.

New song is alright. Looks like this album is going to turn out good but still no where near the level of After the Party and Rented World.

Rented World has some of their best songs and many songs that are very very obvious skips. If it were all Rodent, Where Your Heartache Exists, and Asshole, it'd be an instant classic.... But yeah, I'm not sur if it is the primacy effect or nostalgia or something other than the quality of the albums, but ATP and OTIP have remained pretty untouchable for me

impossible past is nearly perfect
