Seems a polarizing album as people that don’t like beach house tend to love this one and hardcore beach house fans say it’s their worst

This is up there among their best material for sure, and I wish they’d make music in this direction with more gazey guitars. Seeing them live in few weeks and I’m very excited about it.

Nah... Black Car sounds like a throwaway demo for the infinitely better orchestral highlights on the first half of OTM. Kind of like how Woo (although great) sounds like a first draft for the awesomeness of Only You Know.

I just saw them yesterday and Black Car along with Lemon Glow were the absolute peaks of the show. That tribal drumming at the end of LG was incredible.
