I actually couldn't disagree more with those that say it's their worst. The best thing about this album is that it doesn't just groove for the sake of it. Songs have actual ebb and flow, reach a climax and then come to relax. I wish it had one or two more tracks but ultimately don't mind the length.

I like the idea of Altered State and, to be fair, the first four songs are perfection, but the rest just meanders. I honestly don't remember much past "Nocturne".

That's why I really enjoy this one. The long songs build to something and don't overstay their welcome. I do think they can incorporate what they learned on this one and Polaris with Altered State to make something truly out of this world.

Showed my IRL friends a Tesseract song and they spat it out. Theres something really inaccessible about this band I guess, probably the djent. I dont know how they cant get down to that groove though.
