Not "exactly", but the Mastodon influences are obvious and well documented all over the place, yet it's still pretty different, and far from boring imo. Certainly they have some other influences from other brilliant bands and that shouldn't be (it's not) a bad thing. I wouldn't recommend this to someone who's not into heavy music in general.

exactly like mastodon is definitely incorrect. there are similarities for sure especially when there is clean singing, but for the most part song structures and riffs are pretty different. if you don't listen to much metal I could see why you'd say that though. it's kind of like when people say all metal is the same, or call deathcore or metalcore death metal or screamo tho lol. cringe
