Yeah, I really love what she's doing with the whole album still. Very transfixing.

Not sure what I was thinking the first time around, convinced this isn’t even the same album. Some of this is stunning.

Ceremony is wonderful, I'm surprised it doesn't have a review.

Before Dead Magic she wasn't very popular around here tbh. But yeah Ceremony is amazing.
Don't miss on The Miraculous either!

Already checked, it's my least favourite so far (apart from 'Kallan - Betatype'), still very good though. I haven't heard the debut yet.
This and Ceremony are battling it out at the top (easy 4s). If I wasn't such a stingy little blighter I'd be more generous. I just love her voice, the music is also sparse and unobtrusive enough to let it shine, whilst being interesting enough by itself to add some welcome depth. Each release has a different vibe / mood as well.

Debut definitely doesn’t reflect the style she’d grow into, but it’s a brilliant bit of Atmo-melancholy singer songwriter effort in its own right. Doesn’t get enough credit cause Anna had the audacity to go develop such a potently brilliant, unique voice (figurative & literal)

Agree, still is my least favorite. This is her best for me.

Apart from anything else this lass understands atmosphere, which goes a long way towards capturing my attention (despite each release feeling different). Impressive stuff.

She does! Her next one should be as good if not better than this one.

What do you mean by 'should be as good'? I dig it. I can see why people miss her vox though, with the benefit of hindsight I received by revisiting this and exploring her discog further.

I mean the next after the last one. Her next work, should be on pair with the quality of her works or even better

Fair. I read it to mean the next one after this, especially as 'All Thoughts Fly' only recently came out (as in, presumably it's too soon to be talking about another album).
The 'Liturgy of Light / Harmonica' combo on Ceremony is worth the price of admission alone.

Yeah Demon, I guess in my mind I was referring to her next one with vocals.

‘Singing From The Grave’ starts off really strongly, then peters out in a rather disappointing fashion. Her ‘sound’ certainly doesn’t seem fully realised at that point, but her voice shines through when it’s allowed to. Probably why the first half works better.
Done virtually the whole discog now, there’s that early EP which I might check out. Getting a greater feel for her as an artist. I’ll revisit everything, but my suspicion is that this will ‘finish 2nd’ - consistently great yet pushing beyond that modest (by Sput standards) adjective with reasonable regularity.

honestly if this was all the same quality as The Mysterious Vanishing of Electra this would be firmly within 'best album ever made' territory. That song is just outrageously good. Her vocal performance is to die for.

I could've SWORN The Miraculous had a review
