Colored vinyl is almost as exciting as finding an extra christmas present under the tree

I still love the new album so I don't really even care and they are by no means an Architects "clone" but to say you can't see Architects in them when so many of the songs follow the same formulaic songwriting with the same predictable breakdowns layered on top of atmospheric synths that sound copy pasted over.

The album does everything you'd expect from a metalcore album in 2020, they just did it really well. idk maybe I'm just giving Architects too much credit for defining the modern day metalcore sound.

The album closer is so amazing but I think I actually prefer tracks like all of this is fleeting that showcases the singers vocal range

Favorites off the new one after two listens have to be Pray For Rain, Hypermania, Above My Head, Martyr, and The Descent.

I honestly hear more Underoath in their sound than anything

Yeah I don't really hear Architects at all. Listened to this a ton over the weekend and it's still awesome. If this didn't have Vagabond or if Vagabond just had a stronger chorus then it would probably be a 5 for me.

Yea Vagabond is pretty weak, Above My Head's chorus is kinda meh too

After jamming it a lot only those two and Masochist are the weak songs, rest range from great to fantastic

I really like Martyr too. It didn't hit me the like the other tracks on the first couple listens, but then it clicked.

I kinda wish there was like one or two more songs on here though. I feel like the album flies by and before you know it you're on Pray for Rain again.

Martyr owns, love that song and Jamie sounds so good on it

Somebody needs to throw a review up for the new one

Jamie sounds fantastic the whole way through. He needs to start a side project that's a little heavier than this and doesn't have any clean vocals. Just his screams, growls, and yells. It would be fucking great.

Breakdown on Vagabond is pretty good though. That song is like a really poor man's norma jean or something.
