I don't mind it, hated it when it first came out, but it's grown on me and works better in the album.

It's not bad but it's my least favorite song. Second least is Endless Night.

I was really excited for this one, but now it leaves me cold now. I enjoy most of the songs somehow though.

Endless Night is my least favourite, I really can't stand it. It just feels like a Dying In Your Arms rip off with Disturbed vocals.

hey linguist i have a question

how can a band be revitalized if they had no vitals to begin with?

or to tear off the veil of metaphor, how can a band be "good again" if the were never good in the first place?

Easy thing, really. Good and bad are subjective, so "good again" is a personal thing.

It appears some people understand opinions better than others.

Jk, I know people love shitting on this band.

So like...has this record been getting 5-bombed by fanboys or is this legitimately the band's best record? Because I've got a bit of a nostalgic soft spot for these guys and a thinking about giving this a listen if it's worth it.

Definitely top three with Ascendancy and Shogun, so if you like those you should give this a try. Don't slate it based on the singles.

I think it having the highest average is more due to the others getting a lot more hate over time.

So I saw them last night, what a shame they decide to use a PA system.

eeehhh the avgs for those have been more or less the same for the past few years. I think Ascendancy had the highest avg at 3.7 when I first joined the site.

I'm betting the averages were different when those albums first came out though, I'd be very surprised if this has settled already.

Ye but by your own testimony Ascendancy dropped over time, so maybe this will as well. I'm fine with it staying where it is even though I like Shogun more, but I'd be surprised if it does.
