If Miss Murder wasn't their biggest single then I'm pretty sure less people would hate it. It's edgy as all hell but I'd certainly take it above some of the basic Pop Rock songs that plague this album and make it into a total mixed bag. The bridge isn't even that different from the rest of the song.



37mm is one of their best songs yes, wish some of their other forays into mainly electronic songs were as well done as that track was.

It goes from a rock-pop song with a swing feel to a full on slowed down, straight ahead breakdown with screaming. I'd say that's pretty different.

Miss Murder is more of a straight 2000s Alternative song than a Pop Rock song, especially compared to some of the other songs on this album.

My issue with Miss Murder is that the chorus is so grating. It sounds more like a football chant. The verses are totally fine though and have some neat variation in them. I didn't know Davey's voice was messed up for this album though.

Jade is usually the one to manage Davey’s voice in the studio, telling him he is done for the day when he thinks Davey is losing his voice. So this was probably the most frustrating album Jade ever made.

Its still kinda crazy to me that it is Davey and Jade essentially writing all the tracks together and Jade producing almost everything on the new stuff at least ... Hunter and Adam seem to have a real chill job

I'm sure Hunter and Adam must actually write their parts though. I think Jade and/or Davey must give them some basic outline for a potential bass or drum line, and they do their thing to bring the song to life in the rhythm section. But yeah, Hunter and Adam haven't been credited with official song writing since Burials, I think.
