I don't know how to rate this. Went in cynical based on seeing how many features there were. there are some good songs, I actively hate momentz, but it's just an inconsistent album. Albarn is barely on the non-bonus tracks and when he is he's the worst part of the song. his voice just sounds lazy and monotone which is alright here and there but come on.
this isn't a gorillaz album, it's a compilation album. i played this for 3 casual gorillaz fans and none of them thought it was the gorillaz

I've thought about saying how many tracks felt unfinished, but that's a problem on a decent amount of albums these days. The problem was the fact that Damon thought he could release 26 seemingly unfinished tracks and drown the thing in features.

I'll admit it feels a wee bit unfinished in places, mainly with the lack of beat progression

I reordered the tracks and cut them down to 15 and it's everything I'd want from a Gorillaz record.
On the whole though, there are definitely swaths of filler.

I don't remember much about The Fall outside of thinking it sounded like something my college roommate would have recorded on his Mac laptop (which makes sense seeing as it was created exclusively on an iPad). To me this has more energy and is way more enjoyable.

The Fall had pretty much nothing but filler tracks; this record holds a solid collection of boring, unfinished tracks with a couple of awful ones.
I don't see what's enjoyable about it at all.
