"Untouchables was supposed to take Korn’s career to the next level. It was supposed to be their Black Album, and they followed its blueprint to the letter."
Where are you getting this? Weird way to start a review.

it makes perfect sense

Can you explain it?
I think it's off base. Take a Look in the Mirror was a bigger departure in sound than Untouchables was, and a much better comparison to the Black Album. Untouchables was Issues pt. 2.

"It also didn’t help matters when the band’s most prolific songwriter jumped ship after Take a Look in the Mirror."
Where do you get the information that Head was the band's most prolific songwriter?

Well, they got worse when he left and much better when he came back, and while he was gone he wrote a bunch of solo/side project music that was really good quality.

"Obviously there is no definition. Im just playing. But the whole aesthetic and feeling of this band is childish af to me. Clowns and dolls and Davis' fake whiny crying and shit. There was a time and place for it FOR ME but it got old pretty much on the 2nd record. Dont get me wrong I think its great theres still a market for angsty teens with nail polish and 40 years olds with purple hair and chain wallets who hate their fathers."
I see. He hasn't done any of that fake crying whining crap since Korn III which I agree...it was forced and kinda weak. Seems like on the last 3 albums he sings pretty normal without any of that extra stuff. It's not great or anything, but it ain't bad. Lyrically, it's the same ol' by Korn but when you're my age I'm pretty sure you're trying to enjoy everything despite the lyrics. Nothing really bad about his voice, just my opinion though and I'm almost 30.

"what I'm about to say might be the dumbest shit, but does anyone else feel it's becoming somewhat of a trend to dislike Korn? I know some people genuinely hate them, I'm embarrassed sometimes to admit I used to love them, but idk, anyone have any thoughts on this?"
Just gotta have some self confidence in yourself man. Who gives a heck what others think. I proudly say I'm a fan of Korn. They were the first band to get me into heavier music. Now I like bands like Gojira, Meshuggah, Car Bomb, Mastodon, black metal, and random crap that some people have never heard. Korn was that gateway to heavier stuff.
The one thing I do prefer is JD's vocals. I enjoy being able to clearly hear the lyrics with that heavy sound. Tool is another band that comes to mind. With some of these heavier bands I can't understand crap unless I have the booklet in front of me. So those bands I make out a few words and bang my head for the most part. With Korn, I do a bit both, even if musically their subpar compared to other heavy bands. Korn's just my cup of tea every 3 years when they release a new album. But in about a week I'll be blasting some new Car Bomb.

I disagree. Untouchables was a bit mellower than Issues (with at least two or three "ballads"), and at the same time the guitar tone had a heavier lower end than Issues. Only a few songs like "One More Time" or "Wake Up Hate" reminded me of the more alternative-electronic style of Issues, if you can call it that way, anyways. While Take a Look In The Mirror was a departure in terms of the bigger/thicker production of both Issues and Untouchables, musically it really wasn't much of a departure, but a huge drop in songwriting. I think they wanted to have the "rawer" sound of the earlier albums, but just wrote some shitty songs.
"Where do you get the information that Head was the band's most prolific songwriter?"
Sure, Take a Look in the Mirror was written with Head in the band (and was pretty crappy IMO), but then again everything else written without Head (bar some cool songs off Other Side) is either boring or flat out sucks. So it's safe to assume level-Head-ed (see what I did there?), who wasn't really there by the time Take a Look was released, was/is the band's most prolific songwriter.
just my unimportant two cents

To be fair, Take a Look in the Mirror was at a time where everyone was completely fucked up.

Yep, still have some love for it though as my first Korn album, even if the production is the worst.

I haven't listened to Korn since the Follow the Leader album. From what I recall the one after that I did buy, played it once and "filed it". That must be nearly 15 years ago. Have listened to some of these tracks on youtube and gotta say, not too bad at all! Will always have the occasion for some nu metal teenage years nostalgia!
