Yeah there's really nothing to get. Basically if you like political navel gazing of a particular brand, you'll like this. If not, you'll find it average (the music can be good and her voice is certainly is) to garbage like the rest of us. My 1 is an exaggerated rating because I think this is way overly praised in places.

as far as I'm concerned you and Flag can stick it right where the sun don't shine(and i ain't talkin the floyd album)
Like seriously, ratings are _opinions_ and imo this is so un-enjoyable it might as well be a 1. Why should I give it a higher rating just because the production isn't god awful or because her voice is occasionally nice? 90% of the album is un-enjoyable so even if it's "objectively" not god awful there isn't really a point to rate it higher than a 1 because it has no value to me and even when it's marginally enjoyable i'd rather be doing anything else
like what's wrong with that logic

It's hard for me to deny the production and vocals but the aspect for which this record was made and sold on, and that is deilvering a political message through poignant lyricism; This is what the album was aiming for and it is what it failed most as.
