Cool review but I'm like Holy Guacamole, I'm trying my best not to overreact but this album just might be my favorite Radiohead album ever!! There are no skips on here for me, truly a masterpiece.

Don't call the karma police, but I feel like they could have added to the end of the song to make a fan favorite a much better closer, but if going out soft is what they wanted to do, too bad, I guess.

musically it goes nowhere and the lyrics are cringey as fuck

'i'd drown my beliefs to have your babies... don't leave' AKA 'i'll be untrue to myself and pretend to be someone else so a girl might like me, p.s. here's me nuts in a jar'

grow a fucking spine m8

I mean considering the tone of the song is literally "this is the saddest we could possibly make it sound" I'm pretty sure it's not condoning pretending to be someone else more acknowledging that that has happened in the past but whatever

There's just not enough feeling of vulnerability or urgency to back up what the lyrics suggest, in my opinion. You'd forgive those lyrics if the put some passion toward an actual climax.

@ rowbro - we obviously interpret it differently - the joys of music innit

@ brick - being in love is one thing (and it rules) but putting another human on a pedestal is all kinds of wrong

passion and vulnerability are completely different ballparks dbizzles. I get far more emotion and vulnerability from the way Thom's voice shakes when he says "your tiny hands" than I possibly could have got from a crazy All I Need style climax like you're asking for

an all i need style climax would be v out of place but the song is crying out for some kind of shift or movement

instead they just let it spin its wheels for nearly five mins and yea nah

I think the song is supposed to be beaten down, like this a place he's found himself after a long time coming, a shift in the songs intentions musically or lyrically would make no sense

Mmmmm.... All I Need... don't distract me, Rowbro. I don't want anything that dramatic. I just feel like they could have surprised us a bit instead of falling off so gently.

I see it that Tinker is the conventional closer then TLW comes in like a sort of encore, 'here's a message from Thom' sort of vibe
