Wow that scalated quickly.

The beginning of approaching transition is great, really nice change of mood after the storm of SS Needle, but it never gets to explode like the other tracks.

Approaching Transition reminds me of Temec Nosce from Rosetta's Wake/Lift -- filler that sets up the last track

Saw the band play this in its entirety at Damnation Festival last night. I unfortunately had to leave during the last song to see Akercocke's set start, but what I did hear was pretty well done. I'd heard a couple of tracks from this release before and honestly didn't really connect with them as much as I thought I would, but holy crap the live performance was remarkable. I've also heard they won't be doing this live anymore in the future with Julie Christmas.
