the daytime counterpart to laughing stock
it's a matter of preference based on that tbh

This, Laughing Stock, and Mark Hollis's solo album are all 5s. LS is one of my highest though whereas the other two are on the lower end.

I've always loved Bowie songs here and there and appreciated his artistry from afar but kinda been intimated by the idea of listening to his whole discography. I guess if I'm going to make that claim the next music I check out should be Bowie's catalogue

You don't have to rummage through it all at once (nor would I recommend doing so, quite honestly). Start with the rubberstamped classics and branch from there as is your wont!

Up there for sure. Lack of prolificacy is the only real argument against them. Might have to give the crown to Fugazi or Sonic Youth, myself.

definitely my least fav part of this album
we already get a beautiful rock chorus in Eden they should've left it at that tbh

The loud clanging part? Yeah def the worst part of the album, makes it 4.8 instead of a 5 cause everything else is perfection.

This record! obviously taps into something incredible and beyond but communicates it in human language, so there are foibles and not-quites, albeit charming ones. Laughing Stock expresses itself through the language of God.
Ya I prefer Colour as well!, and with the s/t that's an impressive 3 masterworks in the highest echelon, therefore best band
