I can't overlook his vocals. And most of the riffs are not that great imo, I agree that the instrumentation is salvageable. But it does not safe this mess for me. It's better than the last album though.

The guitar riffs and drumming on Reapers is excellent, and there's a solo on Defector that I will never be able to get out of my head. I'd say it's more than salvageable, although I agree in every way with the cheesiness of his vocals/lyrics. Objectively this is probably like a 2.5 but I'm something of a Muse fan.
