'randomly turned on DBM2 yesterday and was like woooow, this is so much better than listening to tilian'

Agreed. At least he's got character in his voice. Tilian's a great singer but I find he needs work in utilizing it as an instrument.

Tillians weakest, pop vocals can be done much more tastefully

It's fair to hate on Tilian if he doesn't work for you, but I think he's one of the most passionate-sounding pop vocalists I've heard in a long time. That, and his voice has an extremely unique sound to it on a very basic level. I'll just never tire from him.

I don't think I can fairly judge Jonny though. Heard him a dozen times across a dozen bands, and yet all I think when I see his name is "LAPTOP SCAM" and then I get distracted.

Album won't leave head. Last time this happened was Icarus the Owl's recent release.

Jonathan Mess....he sounded more unique on the other albums? On this I find his vocals monotonous and almost completely unnecessary. Or maybe his style of post-hardcore screaming reminds me of my cringe-filled days of praising the genre and it's misguided juvenile anger. Kinda like metalcore. Do you REALLY need to be screaming, Jonathan? Tillian seems pretty happy over there, why can't you be?

Yeah, when people can debate this passionately about which album/singer was the band's best, that's definitely a good thing

I think this might be the worst DGD as far as vocals go
or maybe it's Tillian's seemingly mandatory cringey vocal hooks on a handful of these songs
