Is this degree of trolling grounds for suspension in this neck of the internet?

This album starts off with two of Radiohead's hands-down best songs... The rest of the songs really don't work outside of the album's context, which is not a knock on the album itself. Mr. Downer, I highly respect your Radiohead reviews.

There are definitely more than 2 songs that work outside of the albums context

detriment -- i'd actually recommend starting with the street spirit (fade out) ep. it's short has fairly accessible songs but some gems that would give you a nice feel for the band before delving fully into either ok computer (heavier rockier) or in rainbows (indier). amnesiac is not the place to start but it's such an insanely good spot to end up at.

imo and whatever

i'd go with you and whose army, i might be wrong, knives out, spinning plates, (amazing sounds or

orgy, fog) any day of the week under any context

OK Computer is really accessible IMO though... Just listen to the whole album instead of singular songs, it helps to appreciate it better (flow and whatnot).

it's true, but street spirit ep is only 5 songs long, has the 2 incredible tracks of 'street spirit' and 'talk show host' (which otherwise might be missed) and 5 easily accessible tracks that finish before things get too involved.

ok computer has to be listened to all the way through and will probably not click the first time around imo

Well, tbh I haven't that EP yet, so maybe I should go find it somewhere...

towards the end it becomes kinda like the bends, but 'talk show host' is an absolutely incredible track (listen right now if you haven't yet) and i adore 'street spirit' even more since reading http://www.last.fm/user/j2thezee26/journal/2010/03/09/3h2fqe_thom_yorke_interview-_%22street_spirit%22 . the rest isn't anything special but it's pretty great still and keeps you nicely down on planet earth
