autotune a la t-pain? no i don't disagree. autotune a la pitch correction? depends on whether or not she can sing.
what i'm saying is there would be a reason for it to be here if she couldn't sing. she can tho (although she's not really one of my favorite singers) so it's not here, or at least not detectable the way it is with really off-key singers

it may well be used here ^ i remember reading an interview with an engineer saying it's used on just about all big albums in some capacity. that's not to suggest she's a bad singer. her voice is good.
kinda like light Photoshop touch-ups on a magazine cover. if it's discreet enough, next to no one will know.

agreed, i don't really mind minor pitch correction because at the end of the day, you could just record the song 56 times until it's perfect, or just use autotune. what difference does it make?
my problem is that a lot of the pop singers i mentioned noticeably use it. e.g. when going one pitch to a much higher one, the jump will sound robotic when using autotune. or when it's used to make the vocals too "smooth" for the rest of the music (although that's not really a problem in pop where everything has a slick coating over it anyways)
